About Purple Heart Radio (PHR) Programming

Programming Overview

Purple Heart Radio (PHR) has a wide range of programming all geared towards a veteran audience but not so jargon filled it alienates our listeners who do not have a heavy military background.  Regardless if a listener has spent the majority of their lifetime serving their country in the Armed Forces or if they have spent their years supporting that very troop serving all will find PHR programming not only educational but entertaining.

An unfortunate commonality between veterans of all eras is a lack of knowledge regarding programs and services created just for them.  PHR was created for this reason.

For the general audience and/or veterans of tomorrow we have shows tailored to their needs.  On PHR they can find out:
What is it really like to serve in the military?
Issues affecting troops of yesterday, today, and tomorrow
-  Current events regarding veterans
In the government, current and proposed legislation
-  How to help

For veterans currently serving PHR provides:
A Voice (what other troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, or other deployable locations are saying)
Information (current programs offered by the military for them or their families)
Emotional Support (they are not alone – there are thousands currently serving creating an instant family, all ready to reach out to their "brother" or "sister" in arms)
Physical / Financial Support (current programs / services offered by organizations and companies outside of the military from which they can benefit)

Also, never to be forgotten, we work diligently to provide complete programming for those who are not currently serving our country in the Armed Forces but who have given so much for our freedoms already – our thousands of veterans from all eras.
Voices of the past speaking loudly today (hear from other veterans and other Purple Heart recipients as they tell their stories)
Be "in the know" about current legislation and events which influence our members of the government (hear from Congressman and Senators from all levels)
SDVOB, do you know what that acronym stands for?  Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (meet fellow veterans who have gone on to create their own businesses and share in their successes)
Benefit from your benefits (find out what is available to you and how to get more information about these valuable services)

AND, for all, more and more programming every day.  PHR is the voice of the veteran broadcasting on the web all day, every day.
