A common question by many prospective applicants is "Do you have to be at your machine for the full training day?". The answer is "Yes". Although you are excused from your machine during your scheduled break times and lunch you will be actively training the remainder of the duty day at your computer. Unlike many online courses our program is not a "log on in the morning, then work at your own pace" type of program. This program is quite intense and requires a certain amount of self-discipline and dedication. The purpose of this program is to train you for a new career as a contact center / call center agent. As an agent for a company they will also expect you to remain at your machine during working hours. By modeling our training program similar to employer requirements our graduates typically adjust in the transition from student to employee without complication.
Although this program trains you to work from home, it is not for everyone. Besides the more obvious personality / skill criteria involved to include excellent communication skills, basic-moderate computer knowledge, and a "people-person" mentality, those who dedicate themselves to caring for their small children at home, or those who are looking to slow down in life are generally not a good fit for this program. This program was created to help retrain disabled veterans and certain qualifying spouses in a new career which enables them to work from their home when otherwise they may not be able to withstand the physical demands of a more traditional workplace. Some of our most successful graduates are those with severe physical disabilities to include amputees, muscle-skeletal conditions which make walking / standing difficult, and burn victims. These individuals have a great deal to offer an employer in terms of skills but simply cannot withstand the physical demands put on them in the traditional workplace. Applicants are not required to have a Purple Heart medal.
