I applied so long ago do I have to fill out another application and start over?

Sometimes situations occur where applicants may place their applications "on hold" or temporarily withdraw their applicants from consideration until they are ready to actively pursue entry into a program.  If you have previously applied to the VBTC please do NOT simply complete another application

Applications are the programs that you use to perform work on your computer. For example, Microsoft Word is an application that allows you to write letters and Microsoft Outlook is an application that lets your read and write Email messages. These applications are typically purchased separately from the operating system.'); return false">application
.  This will cause duplicate student records to be created and delay your admission into any VBTC program.

If your record is marked as "Withdrawn/Not Interested" then simply email the admissions staff a note stating you are ready to activate your previous application.  Then you can continue as normal with the admissions process.  Most times the paperwork you have already completed will still be valid and located in your record.

A few steps to help you transition from an "older" applicant to a "newer" applicant smoothly:
  • Retrieve Student ID
  • Log into AppTrac
  • Review and verify all information correcting what is necessary
  • Download an updated version of your application checklist
  • Compare AppTrac status updates with checklist items completed
  • Continue with checklist until complete
